Troubleshooting: Units are not available for Online Move-Ins
If you have already enabled Online Move-ins in SiteLink but the option for customers to move in online is not showing on your website or SiteLink store, or if SpareFoot customers are unable to complete their move-in from their reservation confirmation, check the following in SiteLink Web Edition.
There must be at least one vacant unit in the unit type. To determine if this requirement is met:
Select Company and then Modify Units.
Choose Wizard on the right-hand side under Selection.
Select a Unit Type from the dropdown menu as well as any other criteria you would like to filter by. Select the Yes radio button for Vacant and then click OK. This will filter the units in that type for those that are vacant.
If you are using the SiteLink Web Template, make sure the unit is not being excluded from your website.
Select Company and then Modify Units.
If you need to filter the units list, choose Wizard on the right-hand side under Selection.
Select a Unit Type from the dropdown menu as well as any other criteria you would like to filter by.
Select the unit/s that you need to update and then click Edit Selections.
Ensure that the box next to Rentable is checked and that the box next to Exclude from Website is not checked.
The unit type needs to be linked to a lease that is eSign enabled including the keyword Reservation.OnlineMoveInURL.
From the Company page in SiteLink Web Edition, select Setup.
Select the Units & Tenants tab and then Unit Types.
Select the type of unit you wish to change the lease for from the list and click Edit.
Change the Lease # to the number of the lease that is eSign enabled and includes the keyword eSign.Signature1.
Click OK when you are done and repeat as needed for any other unit types that you need to update.
If you want to allow a customer to move into a unit from the SiteLink Web Template even if there is already a reservation placed for that unit, you can select the following setting in Corporate Control Center.
From the Site Setup page, select Website and Web Template Setup.
Double click a location from the list to select it.
Select the Web Template eCommerce Gateway tab and then the Rules tab.
Under Reservations ensure that the checkbox next to Show the availability of unit types as ‘Yes’ if there are units currently not reserved and not rented is not checked.
