Why can't I email from SiteLink anymore?

If you need to set up SMTP email in SiteLink Web Edition, check out this article for instructions. 

If you are trying to send an email from SiteLink Web Edition and receive an error message that the email failed to send, follow the steps below to troubleshoot. 

Click Setup

Click Email

Click Test Email

Click Yes from the pop up to proceed.

Enter an email address to send the test to and click OK. We recommend using an email address other than your site email.

If you receive an error message that says “Authentication Error”, try re- entering the email password in the SMTP password field and send the test again.  

If the test still fails, try changing the password in your email account and then enter the new password in the SMTP Password field in Sitelink. Once the password is updated, send the test again.

If you do not know your email password or how to change the password in your email account, reach out to your email provider or your IT team for assistance.
