Q. Since SiteLink is located North Carolina and we are in the UK, how does the support work?
A. We have taken the time difference into consideration and made adjustments to our tech support schedule. Live telephone support is offered from noon until midnight (GMT / BST). If you have emergency issues, such as an error that needs immediate attention, you can email our after-hours support team. The response time for this support is typically 3 to 5 minutes. We communicate with all of our overseas customers 24/7 in this manner.
You can also refer to the SiteLink Status webpage, where we post all known issues with the SiteLink infrastructure such as servers and data centers, as well as known Internet outages that may affect service. In addition, you can subscribe to receive real-time notifications via email.
Q. In this webinar, you showed the SiteLinkStore website payments and reservations and mentioned this could also be done on our existing website. Can you show us what the payment integration page on my facility website look like and how it works?
A. You would keep your existing website as is but simply add two additional links (or buttons.) One link, such as a “My Account” or “Make Payment”, will open a new webpage on SiteLink servers for tenant online payment login. You can brand this page to match your existing website’s look. The other link/button you could add to your website is for “Reservations” or “Booking” (name it however you like.) This open a SiteLink webpage (again branded to match your existing website) where a tenant enters their information, chooses a unit, and picks a date for the reservation. The benefit of having these additional links on your website is added convenience for customers, takes them off the market during their research, and simplifies the move-in process for the store manager. This all leads to increase rental conversions.
Q. Can you iframe (inline frame html tag) the payment portal?
A. Yes, you can embed both the payment portal and reservation portal right inside your existing website!
Q. I like late fees. Why would I want to set up autopay?
A. There are many benefits to autopay. By not reminding a tenant each month with an invoice, autopay helps them forget they are paying each month to store things that in the long run might not be valued at the cost to store. Another benefit is the guaranteed income: owners and operators want to get paid ahead of time, instead of chasing after their money each month. Ask yourself, how many late fees would it take to equal one month’s rent? You still have to spend time to track down that money, all the while not having the rental income in your bank. When a tenant continues to be late, eventually you may have to initiate an auction process and that can be very expensive, and you may never gain back the loss in revenue.
Q. Is the payment gateway option only available with SiteLink’s partner, or can another service be used?
