Hello all, what types of ID do you accept other than a valid driver license? If accepting passports do you also require a utility bill in their name or lease? what address would be used if accepting a passport? Are there any new scams?

We accept valid driver's license, photo state ID, passport (only had 1 tenant ) and CT photo pistol permit, whatever the customer writes on the customer info sheet is what we enter in the software.

We accept any government-issued photo ID, and because I was a notary for a long time, I will take it up to 5 years expired. In storage, the address on the ID is often not their current address, so that part doesn't matter. We go by the address they put on the contract.
