Gate lock out

Our gate hours are set for all tenants, 6:00am-10:00pm, seven days a week. Tenants are locked out on the 11th, but our gate doesn't automatically do it. I have to. Also, if a tenant is locked out and follows someone in, the gate will still let them out when they put in their code at the keypad. I have done all this:
On the computer running Sitelink and your gate interface, in Sitelink go to Setup, Access Setup.
Check that the right gate system is selected and the interface path is set correctly. The exact options will be different for different gate systems, so I cant be more specific.
Make sure the "update the gate for remote transactions" is checked. Make sure your "Gate access rules..." is set to your preferred mode.
While still in that screen, click the "test" button. Lock or Unlock the tenant and select "Update Gate". You should be able to see in your gate interface that the selected tenant is locked or unlocked. If nothing happens, the programs hang, or Sitelink returns an error, then something is not set up right.
Make sure the right program for your gate is running.
Anyone know how to fix this issue? Thanks

2. They SHOULD always be able to get out even if they follow someone in. You never want someone to go after you for false imprisonment because they get locked in.
3.If #1 isn't the issue, I'd call in to SL tech support and have them port in and take a look at all of your settings. Sometimes it's a little setting that gets overlooked.1 -

If you have a cloud based access control, make sure your local computer(s) is talking to the cloud system. I have seen a lot of issues caused by the cloud link failing.
As said above, you don't want to lock someone in. If you have someone on-site at all times to handle people getting locked in, the access control software often has a feature called "anti-passback" or something similar. This will prevent exit if the code has not been used to enter first. In our system, we can set it to simply log a message but still let them out so we can follow up if necessary.0
