What a fabulous venue.

It was great to see as many familiar faces and customers. The panelists and topics were relevant and so informative.

One crowd fave: "The best store I never built." Everyone has success stories - examples of projects that did not go well or (fortunately) did not come to be were ever so valuable and presented by all in such an engaging way.

Another great take-away: owners are realizing how they can beat public companies. Owners understand their local clientele better and can thus service them better. The software and web tools to compete - online and at stores- are often not just superior, but available at a fraction of the cost. Revenue management, electronic documents and signature capture (think paperless office) and online rentals have been readily available and are working well at operations of all sizes. Texas operators were some of the first to launch online rentals.
