Tenant received 3 month free rent.  How do I change it so he will start getting charged

You will have to go to the "ledger" under their account and under "scheduled rate" you will have to choose their new payment and the date that you would like for it to start.

Did they get this as a selected move in discount, or is their unit currently $0/per month?  If it is a discount that is selected at move in, it will just fall off.  If they are currently set at $0, go to their ledger settings, about the middle of the page it will have "new rate" and "effective date".  Just put in the rate to start charging and the date it will take effect, ie. "June 1"  make sure if it is soon, to send out an invoice with the new rate.

If you need to charge rent for the months they got free, you can add it back under Edit Charges and Payments.  Just be sure to add each month separately and with the correct start and end dates.
