How often do you replace your main computer?  Thanks

    Well when we lived in Florida it was based on how often lightning struck the power plant across the street from us lol.

    Otherwise I remember having a PC that still had a drive for flippy disks in it at a site. Pretty much if it gets the job done it ain't getting replaced.

    Mine is 5 years old.  We try to replace every few years.  Preventative I guess! Trying to decide if I should tackle the Windows 10 upgrade or just buy new!

    @JulieAton I wouldn't try upgrading to Windows 10 on a 5-year-old computer.   :s

    Only if it is having issues.  Same as home personal computer.  If it works, don't fix it!

    We have in house IT and our computers have been pretty reliable, so we keep them as long as they can do the job without excessive down time. We have one or two more than 5 years old, still running windows 10 very well.

    The 3 most in use, though, are 1, 2 and 4 years old.
