What is better, a swing gate or a slide (rolling) gate?

I have one of each.  Either works as long as you maintain it.  

If you have the room, my preference is slide.

We also have both. The slide gate seems more reliable and safer, but our swing gates, like @MamaDuke7
 implies, need less room to work. They also seem to open faster, so our more impatient tenants like it.
