SAME TENANT – SEVERAL UNITS – DIFFERENT GATE CODE FOR EACH UNIT

I know there is an option at the ACCESS board to add “other authorized gate access” but is not what we are looking for.

Is that possible to have SAME TENANT – SEVERAL UNITS – DIFFERENT GATE CODE FOR EACH UNIT?

Thanks in advance

Ben

It would require you to NOT have the accounts linked together. So each unit would be it's own entity and you could not pull up payments/info for all by clicking on one of them. If they're all linked together then the address/gate code info is the same for all.

I think you would have to set them up in Sitelink as different people, so you could have "Joe Smith (unit1)", "Joe Smith(unit2)", etc.

We actually did that exact thing. Local Museum has three units, but each are accessed and paid for by different agencies. So they are separate accounts listed as "Museum 1, Museum 2" etc each with different access codes and email addresses (for invoices) even though they share the same mailing address.

If you have StorLogix for your gate, you could also add separate codes while keeping the units linked together in sitelink for billing purposes.

Thxs for this suggestion, separate codes while keeping the units linked together... has to be done from Storlogix itself? A mean the second code? and when update Site Link (SL) and ex. this tenant is moved out will delete the second code in Storelogix as well? Because the idea is to keep SL as only input of data and not to be forced to manage both softwares. Thxs in advance!

That is correct, if you want to keep all of the units linked, you will need to assign separate codes for the individuals in StorLogix. Even if the company vacates, you would need to go in and delete that manually added code, as it is not directly assigned to that unit. For example: You have to create a code for your landscapers to gain entry to the property since they do not rent a unit; If you switch companies, you will need to go in and delete that user, or you could edit it for the new company, but I'm sure you get the point I'm trying to make.

You can also add sub-codes right in Sitelink for each unit.  That will automatically update Storlogix and will automatically remove the code when they move out.

From the payment page, go to the Access tab (above the address).  Click on the index card to edit/add.  At the bottom left click +ADD and create the new user with the code you're assigning.  Then click ADD-> and save.

So your basically "adding" another tenant who has access to the unit?

So when the unit is vacated, these entries disappear? will they continue to be in Sitelink's database as a "previous tenant"

This is kinda awesome though... We have either just added codes in Storelogix or made separate accounts.

Yes.  When you move the unit out, all the associated codes are moved out too.
