How does your facility return security deposits to the tenants and why do you do it that way?

We send ours back in check form. Wondering if this is old news now

We have not required security deposits in years. We do however have many tenants that have been with us long enough that they did have a deposit on file. We refund via check for better tracking.

We return via check.  Easier bookkeeping.

What is the thinking of not requiring a security deposit? Just curious.

For us, most of the local competition doesn't charge a deposit, and the facility owner doesn't like issuing refunds, so we try to avoid it. If we do have to issue a refund, it is usually by check.

We as well don't require a SD unless you have done something in the past that warrants one! We always do refunds in check form as the best for record keeping!

If I didn't require a security deposit, I would be having too much junk to the junkyard.  Keeps people honest.
