Applying payment against rent and late fee.

Tenant has two late rents and two late fees.  He wants to pay one rent and one late fee which would only put him one month behind vs two months behind.  As I understand when your apply a payment against rent and fees Sitelink goes after the late fees first and then the residual money is applied against the rent.  Question - Is it possible to pay one rent and one late fee leaving the remaining rent and late fee on tenant's account?

In your setup you can adjust it to apply them towards the oldest balances first, rent before fees, or fees before rent. You could consider waiving the second oldest late fee so it does not apply payment to it.

Or just apply them as needed in Edit Charges and Payments.  Put the payment where you want it to go without changing your settings.

When you go in to process the payment put the amount then at the bottom of the page you will see what it is applied to and you can change what you want it to go to. Its actually pretty simple. And we don't let people just pay on one unit. and we dont take partial payments unless it is a very special circumstance

Used the Edit Charges and Payments area.  Thanks.
