Recent Charge Backs

Has anyone seen an increase in charge backs lately? We've gotten three this week and every time we've reached out to the customers about the charge backs they have claimed they did not request a charge back through their bank. We were wondering if anyone else has had this issue.

    We get a notice in the mail from merchant services then we respond and call the customer advising we are disputing the charge back due to the rental agreement. The last three all came back with the same response saying they never charged back any payments. Though it's likely they could be lying, it's odd all three had the same response.

    That is pretty strange. We have not experienced that. I've only had 1 chargeback in 4.5 years. We just sent over the signed paper we have on file authorizing the charges to that card.

    I would call Merchant Services and find out if there's a glitch in your account somewhere.  It's odd that you've suddenly had 3, yet none of them actually disputed anything.
