Why a lien form would pop up before pre lien expired?

I have pre liens that are dated 12-18-21 and had a due date of 01-11-22. They were on the task list for liens today to process. Why would the date change?

Lien and Pre liens are set in the past due schedule (set up, past due schedule) for to process after a certain number of days past due.  If it is processing early check that the schedule is set for the correct past due days.  Our pre liens process after 15 days past due and the liens process after 31 days past due.  Check your lease to see if/what the time frame is listed there.  It sounds like your Lien notice is set at 30 or 31 days (if you are 1st of month).

Hi, @lmcav1116To add to @AnitaJohnson1269's response, SiteLink doesn't know of your specific "due dates" for pre-liens. The schedule is simply set to run at a certain past-due day. If you frequently put payment due dates on pre-lien letters that are more than 2 weeks after the processing date, then we'd recommend following Anita's advice and updating your lien letter event accordingly.

The other thing to do is to use the Prerequisite event and make sure it shows that it is to be sent XX days after the Preliminary Lien.  That way, if the prelien is delayed a day or 2, for example, then so will the lien notice be delayed that many days.
