Multi Tenant Card Auto Pay

Can anyone explain how this feature works.  Tenant adds additional unit. How do I set up Auto Pay.  I can process the payment manually with card on file but not set up auto pay.  I can only see the last 4 of card number so can't enter it to set up auto pay. And also noticed it doesn't show the CVV. I have tried in Tenants and Multi Unit Credit Card.  Thanks

Multi unit card is for when a tenant has more than one unit and you want to apply a single card to some or all of their units (much like the situation above).

You select the tenant, then checkmark all of the units you want a card applied to, and enter the card details and save it. That way you don't have to enter the card details for each unit individually.

Of course, this is really only helpful if someone is renting multiple units at once, or you are updating card info for someone with multiple units. If they rent units at different times, you still have to enter the information again.

You have to manually enter or swipe the card the first time on the new unit.  You can't set it up without that even if they have it on other units.

Thank you!  But WHY??  Existing customer. Card on file, auto pay set up.  Can manually process using card on file???  Linked units.  Doesn't make sense and not user friendly or tenant friendly.

It's a security feature.  It's been that way for a long time.

I have had this issue for awhile but was always able to look at the other account and write down the number and enter on additional unit. I was just forced to switch to Storable Payments this year. And know that seeing the full number isn't an option with them.  But if units are linked it should link card number.  Especially considering you can use that card number for manual payment on additional unit. What is the purpose of Multi Unit Card and how does it work.  Haven't had time to ask.

It's only been this way since we were forced to storable payments this past year

We got forced in the first wave, so it's been a couple years for us.
