I have a tenant that has two units, they're both in her name. One is hers the other is her sons. Hers is paid for with credit card, his is paid with a check. I need to move the son out and move back in under his name and info. But I don't want to issue a refund and apply to her account. both units are current on rent. How can I do that? Thanks.

Create a new TENANT with all of his information.  Then go to Company > Utilities> Shift-Ctrl-T and then click Move Tenant to Another Ledger.

On the left choose the unit, on the right choose the new tenant you just created.

Then go in and update any other info you need to correct to make it his alone.  All dates and rates stay the same.

Thanks mamaduke. I hate to sound stupid, but how do you create a new tenant? Do I go to the move in screen?

Click Tenants on the Home Screen.  Then at the top right click ADD.

Thank you, I thought that might be it, but wasn't sure. Hope you have an awesome day.  :)
