Move out for tenant with multiple units.

We have a tenant with 2 units, she has not yet paid her rents for the month. She has vacated one of the units. How do I move her out with money still owing? Can I separate the units and then show her move out?

You can move it out, leave the money due like you would for a single unit.  It's not going to show in her current account, though.  You still have to go to the moved out accounts to take the payment, just like when they move out of a single unit.

There has never been anyone move out owing us money before unless it was a lien.

You'll have to take 2 separate payments when they pay up.  One for the unit they still have and one for the moved out unit.  Unfortunately, no way to link them for a single payment.

So I went in yesterday to do the move out and today I see that the move out unit doesn't show up. How do I apply the payment when she makes it?

Never mind, I found where I need to go to adjustments to moved out accounts.

Or go to payments and uncheck the box at the top that says show only current customers.
