Tell me about your experience with Storable/Access

Our software/hardware on our gate system is getting dated and we are currently trying to make the best decisions going forward. We are currently with PTI which is interfaced with Sitelink pretty well. As we move forward we are considering a newer system with PTI but also are interested in the Storable/Access system. It seemed that there were some bugs when it first launched. Can someone speak to their experience with it and your honest feelings with the whole thing including response for technical support and issues? Also a HUGE issue we are having right now is getting to talk to someone from sales to get good info for our decision. The owner of our facility is incredibly frustrated right now as he has tried multiple times to get ahold of someone but always ends up in voicemail with no call back responses. He is getting good responses from PTI and all the information he needs. He says he only seems to be able to communicate through email and then that you have to request through email that you want them to call you. Also that to even get emails started is to call tech support and ask them to create a PO so that a sales agent can send an initial email. Can someone share if this is an ongoing dificulty or if the whole thing gets any better. When you are potentially spending thousands of dollars it would be really nice to talk to somebody. Absolutely ridiculous! To any who have moved to the storable access system...are you happy with the service and products? What are the pro's and cons? What consistent problems are you dealing with? How is support and response time? Thanks for your input. Tony

Very happy with Access. Been with them since the first month it was introduced and replaced my PTI stuff which was only a year or two old at that time. Back then PTI support was a disaster, but I have heard that it has improved.
Access uses pdk keypads and cloud nodes which have been trouble free. My response time from tech support has been fine when I needed them but it has been pretty rare.
Access does not does do door alarms, which might deter some. And the interface between Access and SL is as good as with PTI.
As I detailed on a different forum, I just completed a transition from SL to Edge to create the most seamless relationship between Website>FMS>Gate Control. No regrets on all the changes.1 -
Hi @Nazpastortony, I'm sorry to hear about the trouble contacting our team. I’ve reached out to sales directly and asked them to contact you as soon as possible. If there’s anything else I can help facilitate in the meantime, please don’t hesitate to let me know.0

Thank you. We did finally get in touch with someone from Access though it was more from a support person as opposed to sales which we still have not received much of a response from. After really digging in to the side by side comparisons we decided to stay with PTI moving from the desktop/storelogix platform to the cloud based program with a new keypad from them. In our opinion, the operations from a manager/user position is less burdensome with better features for our needs including alerts to the phone from anywhere. We lose nothing as far as integration is concerned with sitelink and gain much in the way of operating our gate from anywhere even when I am offsite. The price point is also significantly cheaper for software as well as subscription costs. I remember when PTI support was awful as well but they really seem to have come a long way improving that. In fact, they have moved way past storable now as they will actually take calls in real time without all the email requests and waiting to get responses.helenatim said:Very happy with Access.
