Storable Easy vs. Sitelink Web Edition

Ha anyone switched from Sitelink Web Edition to the new Storable Easy?

It starting to seem like Storable is pushing new users to Easy rather than web edition (including various strange pop-ups for existing users of Web Edition) so I'm looking for reactions, comments, suggestions etc. of other people's experiences.

Weve used Sitelink Web since 2011, and another facility asked us about it as Storable told them they needed to get Easy rather than web edition.

My understanding is that they are slowly working to encourage all SLWE users to Storable Easy, and then do away with SLWE.  Thus why they don't do much in the way of upgrades for SLWE anymore and don't seem to care what the users want.

We manage over 20 facilities across four states and use all three of Storable's platforms (driven by different owner preferences). Here is my direct takeaway on how they stack up:

    • SiteLink Web Edition: The biggest drawback here is security and architecture. The local client software you install is severely outdated and runs on frameworks unsupported by Microsoft. I have a background in cybersecurity, and when I brought specific vulnerabilities to SiteLink's attention, I was shut down because fixing them would require completely re-architecting their legacy codebase.

    • SiteLink MyHub: While it moves things to the web, the MyHub browser interface is still missing a ton of critical functionality found in the desktop client.

    • Storable Easy (formerly SiteLink Easy / Select): This is a completely different animal because it was a separate platform acquired by Storable. There are several legacy SiteLink features missing here—for example, you cannot customize the unit sort order for physical walkthrough reports.

Operations & Move-Ins Despite the missing features, Storable Easy is much more intuitive for property managers to use daily. The online move-in process in Storable Easy is excellent, whereas the native online move-in experience in SiteLink is clunky and completely outdated. They are night and day.

Gate Integration Warning Beyond operations and cost, look closely at gate support. If you rely on software-based gate management (PTI, PDK, OpenTech, Sentinel), you are highly likely to hit compatibility hurdles depending on which FMS you choose.

Every migration comes with hidden trade-offs. If you want to chat through what we’ve uncovered during our migrations and platform testing, feel free to give me a call at 281-617-0550.

    Thank You Justin!

That actually clears up a lot of my questions & I appreciate your response!

Does anyone know when Storable will address Chip readers / Tap payment equipment?

Any day now....for 5 years or more.  So never.

Tap to Pay would be nice, but as long as we can swipe I don't need a chip reader.
