Invalid Pre-Lien and Lien Notices

For those in states that require a detailed list of charges, be careful.

Our first batch of notices after the last update does not have the notice fees on the detailed list. The total amount due is correct, but no charges listed. Which in California, invalidates the notice.

@Ron . Two things to check in your setup. These might not be your issue, but good to check.

One is in Setup -- Program Defaults --- Late Fees. See if Late fee defaults are set to California.

Second is in Setup --- Past Due Schedule. Look in both Pre Lien and Lien to see which letter is being generated. There is a California specific Lien letter.

If those are set right, and your notices are still not including the charges, you can always edit in Letters using Keywords to include them. (or just contact Sitelink; I remember downloading CA specific forms a long time ago)

Thanks for the reply. Everything was setup correctly. There was an issue with the current charges keyword not printing the current day's charges.

I will restart the lien process again on all the tenants who were sent notices and eat the $250+ cost.
