Past Due Schedules
Hello. New to storage and I'm reviewing the past due schedule that was in place. Is this a pretty common schedule for everyone? (I'm in NH) 5 days past - overlock notice and fee, 15 days past - late notice and fee, 20 days past - cut lock notice and fee, 30 days past - notice of lien and fee, then an auction notice when…

Motorcycles willed to wife but my assistant put the storage unit in husbands name

My assistant put the unit in the husbands name but the mc's were willed to the wife. Do I need to put her name on the lease instead? I'm only concerned if…

What If A Customer Refuses To Pay A Late Fee?
Our facility offers many ways to pay rent. In person, over the phone, online, autopay, drop box. We also send out invoices 10 days prior to the due date. But yet every month we get tenants who pay late and believe they shouldn't have to pay the late fee. They try to hustle their way out with stories or just get mad and say…

Robots in Self-Storage?
https://vimeo.com/212129319 Robotics is finding its way into every industry. Self storage included. Like all industries where this is happening, I think the best approach is to hone your human skills as much as you can. Do what robots can't do, then you probably won't be replaced by one. NSF Checks in Sitelink
I had a tenant with a bounced check. When I went in to the NSF reversal screen to input this as an NSF check it let me click on a check from 2011 and do the payment reversal on that check. When I realized what I had done I went into the correct payment and did the same thing and then went into the customer payment screen…
