Does anyone know how to not have the sales tax added to the account? I tried in ledger as I did mark no sales tax but tax still populates on the account!

Does your company have the sales tax set as a default?  Are you looking to remove the sales tax from just one tenant?

If you want to avoid tax on the unit itself, that's also in Setup: Units & Tenants. Then select the customer, Edit, and check the box to never tax rent (but this is the same as what you checked in the ledger).

Some clarification.

Payments->Ledger Settings->Never Tax Rent
This setting will not charge rent tax on this specific unit but will continue to charge tax merchandise if added to this unit

Payments->Edit Tenant Info->Tax Exempt
This setting will not charge rent or merchandise tax for the tenant.  For example if they rent 1 or 5 units, no unit will be charge rent tax and any merchandise added will not be charged tax as well.

How would you take off the sales tax for the entire facility in the company setup?

To turn tax off for the entire facility you have to set the tax values to 0 for each charge. For example normal charges like Rent goto Setup, Charges, edit rent, set tax 1 and tax 2 to 0.  Report for other charges.  For merchandise goto setup, merchandise setup, edit each item and set to 0.  There is a batch edit for Merchandise on the right hand side of the screen.
