Some drivers licenses you can swipe them in your CC reader and it will autofill in the tenant information when doing a move in. I would assume it's something tied to that.

The actual real world use of this process isn't very practical as a lot of people don't update their drivers license every time they move so if you rely on it to fill in the data for you then information may be put in the system that's incorrect.

In some states the drivers license has a magnetic strip. For others the drivers license  uses a bar code. At the moment SiteLink only works with the magnetic strip.  You will need an IDTech or MagTek 3 track USB swipe to capture drivers license content.  Credit Cards use 2 track and drivers licenses uses 3 track.  The 3 track swipe will work with both.  To use, when adding a tenant place the cursor in the first or last name field then swipe the driver license.  The information will automatically fill in based on the data from the drivers license.
