changing the date of a pre-lease

Hello, 

I have a technical question I hope you can help me with. 

I want to know if there was a way to change the date of a pre-lease.  We offer pre-leases to assure customers that their unit is secured and we allow pre-leases up to two weeks in advance. I have run into issues where we will take payment and pre-lease for a future date. Sitelink wont let us edit the date  or manipulate the lease until the date comes due. 

Is there anyway around this? We have clients who change their minds and would like to move in a couple days before or after their original move in date and I cant seem to find anyway around it other than wait till the day comes, move out the account refund and start all over again.
