Setting Up Convenience Fee for Online Payment

Is it possible to set up a convenience fee for online payments? 

When tenants pay with a CC in person, they are charged a processing fee. However, when they pay online, this is not charged. This makes my client eat the processing fee for all online payments. 

Has anyone been able to successfully automate a fee for any payments processed online?

    It can be done, but is not very efficient. You'll have to set up a recurring fee in their payment screen. If they come into the office and pay cash, you will have to credit that fee and then take their payment. If you're not an administrator, they will have to set the recurring fee up for you on their end. If you do a flat fee it will be easier. We do 3% Convenience fee, so it is different for groups of tenants based on the monthly payment.

    I just saw a "Survey request" from Sitelink asking about this very thing.  It looks like they are considering adding a feature to allow surcharges on C/C payments.
