Hello Everyone,
Starting this year we have had issues with all tenants who have a gmail email account not receiving any letters or messages sent through Sitelink. They don't go to Spam either. They all simply return. Some of the return messages are like the below, please note I have censored out the email address with ****:

This message was created automatically by mail delivery software.

A message that you sent could not be delivered to one or more of its recipients. This is a permanent error. The following address(es) failed:

  cinzia.diri****@gmail.com

    host gmail-smtp-in.l.google.com [142.250.31.26]

SMTP error from remote mail server after end of data:

550-5.7.1 [216.37.42.40] Messages missing a valid messageId header are not

    550 5.7.1 accepted. d11-20020ac85d8b000000b00304d81cf36bsi22553465qtx.624 - gsmtp

Does anyone know what this means? Please help!!

Gmail is likely filtering out any email that lacks a valid messageid header. You probably need to get your IT person or whomever set up your email service to set up a "valid" header.

This didn't used to be necessary, but some email providers are using it to help track and filter spam.

We had the same issue.  Reach out to your email service provider and they can set up on their end to authenticate your emails.  I haven't had any bounce back since.
