How to give a refund to a tenant after a move-out has been processed?

This is a parking tenant who gave notice, moved his trailer out, but it went un-noticed before his due date arrived and SL charged him for another month.  Is there an easy way we can credit that month back on his card after he was moved out?

it can be done through Corporate Control, I do know it can be done within 30 days or so, once its gets to like 60 days or more it may not allow it (unsure as I never refunded after the 30 day point).  At that point a company check would have to be sent to the tenant.

You're correct that timing makes a big difference. In most cases I've handled, refunds processed within 30 days can be managed directly through Corporate Control. After that, the options become more limited, and by 60 days or later, the refund typically needs to go through accounts payable as a mailed company check to the tenant.

If the tenant has already been moved out, you should still be able to refund the overpayment by posting a credit adjustment and then issuing a refund to the original card, provided your payment processor allows it. I'd check the tenant's payment history first to see what refund options are available.

Thanks for explaining the refund process so clearly. It's helpful to know the available options depend on how much time has passed since the payment. I usually take a quick Spacebar Test break while waiting for account updates or approvals.
