@Sue_Community The option of "Flag tenants as having a Lien Fee" is not an option for me. What am I missing?

Yes Sue. @i43storage......If you go to the "Schedule Auction" under reminders, there is the select a task on the left side of screen and it has "Flag tenants as having lien fee" in blue.

@websterb @Sue_Community Sorry - still not seeing this "flag" as an option. I'm with @Faye - is this something I don't have set up properly?

@i43storage, @Faye, the option is only available if you have a late fee set up as a one-time fee. It is not available for recurring late fees. That could be why it's not showing, check it out and let us know!1

Okay, I may we waaaay off on what you are asking and what I'm looking for; but when I schedule an Auction, the Auction letter generates the Auction fee. It does not reoccur ...Jean Marie

Hi all,
To add some clarification to this topic, the "Flag tenant as having a Late Fee" option is tied directly to SiteLink's default late fees and independent of any other past due events. This option will only be available in the Tasks & Letters menu if you have one of the late fees set up as a one-time fee. This means the late fee is added to past due accounts only the first month the tenant is late rather than being applied each month that they are late.
The purpose of this feature is to essentially waive the fee before it happens. If a tenant is past due, processing the "Flag" event will prevent the fee from being applied on the set day.
If you do not see this option, it simply means that your site does not have any late fees configured to be a one-time fee. If you are seeing different verbiage for that option such as "Flag tenant as having a Lien Fee," that means that your site has renamed one of SiteLink's default late fees to Lien Fee.
