I think it only prompts you to print one during the move out and don't recall if you can change that, but you can go into any moved out account's payment screen.... go to letters, and pull up the move out receipt to print or email. using either :
Adjustments<Moved out accounts<Highlight tenant<Next<Letters<Find the receipt and choose filled document or Payments<uncheck box "show only current tenants"<Highlight tenant<Next<Letters<Find the receipt choose filled document
If you have unit deposits that you refund, you can get to the receipt through the drop down reminder list of refunds to process after the move out as well.

A far simpler way is to set your move out receipt under the CRM Campaign Schedule and set it to email prompt at move out. As soon as you move the customer out it'll pop up under your reminders/tasks. zap it off, done.
You will also have the ability to preview the receipt and edit it which comes in handy because unless you are back dating move outs that move out a day or so into a new rent period you will constantly have balances show on your receipts which customers are not going to like.
