Cannot Access Anything! StorLogix Security Level Permissions Do Not Allow..

We had some issues with Storelogix not connecting to the logix server and ended up doing a reinstall. Now, attempting to do anything results in the error message:

Security Level Permissions
Your current security level permissions do not allow you to access this information.
Please contact your system administrator.

There is not alternate user account on windows. I have tried running as administrator. StorLogix is logged in AS the Administrator (with Security Level Unknown).

ANY help or advice is greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

We log into SL as User (we're listed below Admin) . When they do tech help, they log in as Admin

Windows security levels shouldn't have much effect on this. I don't know if Storlogix needs you to login with the old (pre-reinstall) admin credentials or not, but that could be the issue if you are logged in as the default administrator.

Thanks for the replies. We never changed the default Administrator/admin name and password, so there is no other options for login.

This is their online help I pulled from my acct. If you can't get any answers, submit a ticket to PTI and then you can contact our help person to get it expedited.

Did anyone ever figure out this issue?  We installed SL onto a new computer and for some reason the built in administrator account and the new user account both have Unknown Security Levels.

Though this is an older topic, I will just add a comment for people who end up seeing it:

There are 3 different security elements here, and each has it's own security levels.

Windows: Once everything is set up and running, your Windows security level should not be causing issues, except a few programs might have to run "as administrator"

Sitelink: Your security level in Sitelink should mostly effect what screens you can use. For example, a driver probably doesn't need to take payments or adjust access control settings. I believe these security levels must be set in Corporate Control. this may also effect Storable Access Control, I am not sure.

Access control software: The specifics will vary with your access control provider. These will (generally) have their own database separate from Sitelink. That database will most likely use a password set internally by the software. Sometimes an upgrade can change the internal password without updating the database, resulting in the database denying access. Sometimes Tech Support can correct this directly, other times may require the database to be reset (often a complete uninstall and re-install of software, including the database)

This is my experience as an IT guy. Hope someone finds it helpful.
