How Does Your Company Handle Auto-Payment?
Good Day Everyone, I am curious as to how your facilities handle auto-payment? 1. Is it optional? Do they have to sign off a specific form? 2. Is it mandatory with the option to opt-out? 3. Can you accept auto-payment adjustments over the phone? 4. Is it strictly mandatory, with no option to opt-out? Thank you,

What is your procedure for breakins?
I am still new and getting the hang of storage life. Recently while checking units, I discovered a cut lock. I notified the tenant and she came to see what was missing. All she said was a few clothes and a pair of shoes, but that is all. No other units were tampered with. She also stated she got scared and had to leave…

Site login oddity
Just curious if anyone else had their login used at an odd time when the system updated on the 10th? I always check login history at our site to make sure people are coming to work on time when i'm off and it showed me logging in at 1:40AM on the 10th from our store PC and IP. Now I love my field of work but i'm not coming…

Lag Time for Taking Payments
Is anyone else experiencing lengthy lag times while processing cards? It did it to me yesterday and is still going on today. It usually only takes a couple seconds to approve or decline, but I have been waiting up to nearly 20+ seconds for each walk-in card payment.

"Normal Tfr" Credit generated when transferring customers
This week I noticed something that I hadn't before. I had not seen a credit note that gets issued by site link when transferring from original unit for the rate the customer has been paying historically. Example: While moving a customer from unit A, paying $150 on the day the payment is to be taken. As I understand this,…

Snails Pace
We are in the San Gabriel Valley of the Los Angeles Basin and the phones have been very quiet since Halloween. I have checked with my local Comps and they say the same thing. Is it just our area that has slowed to a halt or is it Nationwide. Occupancy has stayed the same, just no traffic.

Receipt problems - Sitelink can't do this - Prove me wrong
I want to create a damage & repair charge...and need to produce a receipt for the payment. The catch is, they are not a tenant. I am not willing to fudge my move-in and move-out numbers (by bouncing them in and out of a unit) in order to make this happen. I keep telling my accountant that Sitelink just can't deal with…

Lets say my totals for the day comes to $2,212.50. I enter that into the Daily Close, its correct, it accepts it and I close for the day. When the Close saves and prints, it rounds my close up to $2,213.00. I am always having to enter an "over/under" in my accounting software to account for that difference in paperwork…

So Tired of People! How do you deal with burn out?
It seems like we have had so many stupid people over the past 3 months, I can barely handle it anymore. All throughout that month I sent more reminders, and left messages for her. When…
