Changing Anniversary Dates - Method of Payment
I've always used a tenant's CC on file when changing anniversary dates to pay for the number of days needed to advance the date. Had a customer today who uses ACH as his method of rent payment. Don't think I can use an ACH method of payment to advance the date? Can I???

Manual addition to Auction List?
I have a tenant with a balance that is >60 days past due, which should automatically put him on the Auction List. It did so for four other tenants with >60 day balances. I have two questions: 1) Why wouldn't this tenant appear on the Auction List like the others, and 2) Is there a way to manually add him to the Auction…

linked units
We have several tenants with linked units. If they have 1 of their units in default and overlocked, the program won't allow them access into their other unit that is current. I know how to unlink them, but is that the only way to resolve this issue?

Lead to Lease-Look up Existing Customer

CRM Review Prior Processing Errors Reports
I recently ran a CRM with hundreds of emails and several dozen failed and I did not print the error report in time, so I am not sure which tenants did not receive the CRM email. Is there anyway to review a past error report, or quickly find which emails did not go through without looking through every individual tenant…

Using a lock or boot to prevent a past due tenant from moving out
Hi everyone, I've had a few incidents where a past due tenant just took their stored item and skipped out on their past due rent. They were locked out of the facility (gate code disabled), but were likely able to follow someone else in or out of the gate. Has anyone used a boot of some sort to prevent this from happening?…

Adding a credit to an account
Is there an easy way to add credit to a customers account?? I've done a search, and all I can find is an awkward method requiring adding "future charges", and a dozen steps to go through. Is there a better way that is not such a huge, convoluted mess? Granted; I just upgraded to Web Edition from a much older stand-alone…

Follow Up Dates are jumping all over the place!
So in the past our company did not utilize the Follow Up date box and just deleted it and left it blank. Now we have developed a new protocol on a set date that we need to Follow Up with the reservation customer. Exporting a Tenants Ledger (or Payments History) for a specific date range?

Get me out of the office! Tablet?
Hi, first timer here. I did a search and most of the tablet info is pretty old. My office is in my house which is next door to the storage property. It's only 211 units but being in constant close proximity to the biz makes for a 7 day job. I'm supposedly "closed" on Sundays and Tuesdays but was thinking of changing the…

How to Move When You Have Dogs and Cats

CRM Automatically Process
Is there a way to setup CRM to automatically send an email. I am trying to find a work around for the Reservation Confirmation Letter that can't be modified. FYI if you feel you should be able to customize the Confirmation Letter please put in a request to SL. If enough people make the request it might get done!

Access Control
I am pleased to hear that Sitelink/Storable is building in a gate access system. Does anyone yet know if it will require new hardware, keypads, and wiring? Or maybe overlay an existing system? We currently use PTI Cloud, which works very well, but can be a bit challenging when there is a problem. Looking forward to see…

Past Due Events Issue.
On my Past Due Events schedule, after 20 days, I overlock the tenant, charge a $15 fee, and generate and mail an Overlock Notice. Tenants who pay the day before their sale
Hello. What do you all do for tenants who pay right before their scheduled sale but after we've cut their lock to do a visual inventory and take pictures? Once they pay, we should technically take our overlock off since they've paid current but that would just leave a tiny clip that anybody could snap. If they're there in…

Refund Amount Discrepancy
#1 I always recommend that facilities don't issue refunds due to employee fraud possibilities and the fact that SL refund figures are often hard to understand from the Refund Receipt. I always do the refunds myself and always verify the figures with written or calculator figures. #2 We started issuing the refunds on card:…

Your Oldest Tenant
Just had the honor of leasing a unit to a 92-year-old WWII veteran. He drove his own car, filled out the application, signed and initial the lease agreement. Then unloaded two bicycles into his unit and headed home for another load. And to boot he served in the Navy, just like me!

Having issues with SiteLink and/or LiveUpdate?
Alright, I took off for an extended weekend, first time in a long time, and I came back to a mess? I figured she had done something wrong, so I had her…

Is PTI Out of Business?
It took 3 weeks to get a call back from PTI on a new code transfer to the keypad problem. It took 2 weeks to get a call back a few weeks before that.
